Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $408,692 - $510,037 per year; Associate Professor: $447,896 - $588,505 per year;
Professor: $541,616 - $666,972 per year
The University of Chicago’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank to lead our busy Level 1 orthopaedic trauma service. The appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in the context of a career in academic orthopaedics. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, and 4) have completed an ACGME-approved orthopaedic surgery residency or its equivalent.
We especially welcome applicants who have completed an ACGME-approved fellowship or its equivalent in orthopaedic traumatology.
