Who we are looking for:

Kootenai Health is seeking a fellowship trained, board certified/board eligible breast surgeon to practice at our regional referral center hospital located in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Our top-tier regional breast program delivers comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to the diverse communities of northern Idaho, eastern Washington, and western Montana. At the heart of our approach is a collaborative team of surgeons, a reconstructive surgeon, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists.

Ideal candidates will have a strong focus on quality, safety, teamwork and patient satisfaction and have experience working in busy surgical clinic and hospital departments.

What you can expect:

You’ll work alongside five experienced general surgeons and many full-time advanced practice providers in a growing NAPBC accredited center dedicated to excellence in benign and malignant breast disease management.
100% breast practice, including call with willingness to cover elective general surgery practice call preferred (no trauma, no unassigned ED patients).
As a Breast Surgeon you’ll have access to a fully staffed clinic with experienced Medical Assistant and nurses. You’ll also work alongside a team of mid-level providers, who are experienced in taking care of breast surgery patients. On-site mammography, breast MRI, ultrasound, and image-guided biopsies.
We enjoy collaborative relationships with our robust radiology and medical oncology groups.
381 bed hospital with 17 ORs, Level II trauma center.
Typical practice would be 2 days of OR and 2 days of clinic each week.
