Description
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), College of Medicine in Memphis, TN is seeking a Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery in the UTHSC Department of Surgery.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the Division and will lead initiatives in facilitating clinical growth and quality, academic productivity, and enhancement of medical education.
The ideal candidate will be at the Associate Professor/Professor level, hold an M.D degree or equivalent, be board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Tennessee. The successful applicant will possess an established record of strong leadership skills, integrity, clinical excellence, and research accomplishments. The candidate will have a demonstrated history of achievements in academics including the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Robust experience in multidisciplinary care and minimally invasive/robotic thoracic surgery is highly desirable.
Academic rank and tenure status are commensurate with experience and qualifications. The University of Tennessee provides a compensation package, which includes a competitive salary, and fringe benefits.
