Support a busy orthopaedic surgeon in a respected Claremont specialist practice. This role offers stability, a professional environment and excellent team culture.
- Full-time permanent role | Claremont location
- RDO every 4 weeks + work-from-home day each fortnight
- Established specialist orthopaedic practice
Angel Medical Recruit is currently assisting a well-established specialist orthopaedic practice in Claremont seeking an experienced Medical Secretary/Personal Assistant to support a busy surgeon.
This role plays a critical part in coordinating patient care and managing the administrative workflow surrounding specialist consultations and surgical procedures. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between the surgeon, patients, hospitals, referrers and internal team members.
The practice is known for delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a collaborative and professional workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high level administrative and secretarial support to the surgeon
- Managing patient enquiries and appointment coordination
- Preparing professional medical correspondence and documentation
- Maintaining accurate records and data within the Genie practice management system
- Coordinating referrals and ensuring timely responses to referrers
- Liaising with hospitals, referrers and other healthcare providers
- Ensuring patients are informed of consultation and procedure fees
- Coordinating surgical bookings and ensuring required approvals are obtained
- Ensuring medical correspondence is completed within appropriate timeframes
- Assisting with general administrative functions to support the practice
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working within a specialist medical practice
- Experience supporting a surgeon or specialist highly regarded
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with patients and referrers
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy clinical environment
- Experience using Genie practice management software highly regarded
