Sentara, an award-winning, nationally recognized, non-profit integrated healthcare system is seeking an experienced Neurosurgeon to join and help shape/grow our established Neuroscience Service Line at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.
This opportunity is ideal for a surgeon seeking long-term practice stability, clinical autonomy, and a sustainable practice model, supported by a mature infrastructure and an experienced multidisciplinary team.

You Can Expect:
- Employed neurosurgical practice within an established program
- Approximately 80% spine / 20% cranial with a robust referral base
- Call: 1:3 (10 days per month)
- Opportunity to influence clinical workflows and service line growth
- Strong institutional support for quality, efficiency, and physician-led decision making
- Remote neurosurgical call consultation only for Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital
Program & Infrastructure Strengths
- Integrated multidisciplinary neuroscience team, including: Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neurocritical Care trained ICU providers, and Neuroradiology, as well as Outpatient Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialists
- Highly capable and experienced Advanced Practice Provider with substantial neurosurgical expertise to support inpatient care, consultations, perioperative management, and continuity of care
- Beautiful hospital-based office and clinic space located directly on campus with skilled clinical support staff
Stable, seasoned OR, ICU, and clinic staff accustomed to neurosurgical complexity
