Description & Requirements

Join us at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist & Wake Forest University School of Medicine as a Thoracic Surgeon to join our practice in Central North Carolina.

The selected individual will join us at a time of tremendous opportunity at Wake Forest Baptist Health resulting from our partnership with Atrium Health, which is investing $3.4 billion in our health system and medical school over the next ten years including the development of a full second medical school campus in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Highlights

JOB DESCRIPTION

• lung failure, lung transplant, and ECMO
• Proficient in minimally invasive thoracic surgery (VATS and Robotic)
• Share call with thoracic attending group
• Teach cardiothoracic surgery residents, general surgery residents and medical students

Training and/or Experience Required

• MD/DO or equivalent

• BC/BE in Thoracic Surgery

• Ability to obtain an NC medical license

• Commitment to excellence with the highest level of integrity and a reputation for compassion, fairness and objectivity

• Must have exceptional communication skills and dedication to teamwork
