Description
The Division of General Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island invites qualified individuals to apply for a full-time position at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island, as an attending general surgeon. Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in general surgery and must be board certified/eligible in general surgery. A strong background in minimally invasive surgery or completion of a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery is encouraged. The major responsibilities will reside at the NYU Langone Hospital –Long Island in Mineola, NY.
Academic appointment in the Department of Surgery at the NYU Long Island School of Medicine is offered. Rank, tenure and compensation will depend on qualifications.
The opportunity involves joining a busy, well-established general surgery practice with a focus on minimally invasive and robotic techniques. In addition to daily rounds and clinical duties, responsibilities will include providing emergency general surgery call coverage at least one time per week. Applicant should have a strong interest in resident teaching and medical student education. No responsibility for trauma call coverage is expected or required.

Compensation: $275,000-$350,000
The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
