Position Profile
We are seeking a General Surgeon to provide specialist services in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. The position includes community general surgery services such as surgical care, endoscopy, clinic responsibilities, and after-hours on-call coverage.
Practice Information
Practice Type: Owner/Partner in a Clinic – Team
Practice Size: 5 physicians
Hours of Work: Full Time General Surgery Practice
Remuneration
Minimum Potential Salary: $350,000
Maximum Potential Salary: $507,466
Method of Payment: Contract, paid monthly
Return for Service: Three-year commitment
Relocation
A relocation stipend is available to assist with moving and practice start-up expenses. Settlement assistance to the community will be provided.
Requirements
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively in a high-volume environment. A commitment to high-quality, patient- and family-centred care is essential.
Candidates must hold certification or eligibility for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage is required. The successful candidate is expected to relocate to the Battlefords community.
Preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents in accordance with immigration requirements.
The successful applicant will participate in undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs within the Department of Surgery in the North West Area.
Benefits
A non-repayable Return for Service stipend is available upon completion of a three-year contract.
