Description
St. Peters Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking an additional General Surgeon to join its established surgery practice based at St. Peters Hospital located in Albany, New York with office locations in Albany and Clifton Park. Join an established, high-quality, General Surgery Group at a community-based, tertiary care hospital in Albany.
As an employed surgeon of a large, physician-run multi-specialty group, your spectrum of practice will include elective and acute care general surgery. Open, laparoscopic and robotics experience required. BE/BC in General Surgery required. You will join two HPB surgeons, Endocrine, and MIS General surgeons. The team is supported by a dedicated team of specialty-trained inpatient surgical PAs and NPs in the office.
Call is 1:8 for the group. Dedicated OR and Robotic block time will be allocated. We are looking for a motivated, hard-working individual focused on quality improvement and care optimization that can function as a member of a dynamic care team. The hospital has 5 Davinci robotic systems available. The practice has established relationships with the groups primary care physicians and hospitalists. Excellent radiology and gastroenterology support. Fellowship training in MIS or other specialty considered but not required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants should have the following:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery
- NYS License and DEA
- Training and/or experience in minimally invasive surgery is preferred
- Robotics training/certification is a plus
- At least 5 years of experience

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE
We offer a competitive base salary with earning potential through RVU-based productivity incentives and quality performance bonuses.
- Competitive base salary range 460k-575k with incentives
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
