Practice Setting

Schedule

• 24-hour call coverage with an on-campus daytime presence for rounding and cases
• 1 week per month
• Spring through summer coverage window with dates still available, and potential to extend ongoing

Cases and Procedures

• Bread-and-butter general surgery cases
• Typical mix includes inpatient consults and ED add-ons
• Average around 2 surgeries per 24-hour call period
• General surgery service averages roughly 100-110 cases per month

Requirements

• MD/DO
• Board Certified in Surgery
• Active Hawaii license required
• Minimum 24 months of experience
