Partnered with a leading medical center in central Massachusetts that has an opening for a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.

Opening Overview:

• Schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts per week
• No call
• Patient Census: 2-5 per day
• Preferred Procedures: JP drain removal
• No OR or critical procedures
• Support Staff: APPs, residents
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Neurosurgeon Massachusetts state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Neurosurgeon program
• One year of work experience as Neurosurgeon
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
