Orthopedic Surgery Fellow – Taos, New Mexico
Start Date: August 2026
Compensation: $50,000 salary + additional call pay
We are seeking a motivated Orthopedic Surgery Fellow to join a growing orthopedic program in Taos, New Mexico. This fellowship provides hands-on experience in both clinic and surgical settings, working closely with experienced orthopedic surgeons in a community-based practice.
The fellow will assist in the operating room, evaluate patients in clinic, participate in fracture care and minor procedures, and support inpatient consults and call coverage. This role offers broad exposure to general orthopedics, sports injuries, fracture management, and joint conditions while developing clinical decision-making and surgical skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for physicians interested in gaining additional orthopedic experience while practicing in a beautiful mountain community.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Assist in orthopedic surgical procedures
- Evaluate and manage patients in clinic
- Participate in fracture care, casting, and minor procedures
- Provide inpatient consult and rounding support
- Participate in shared call coverage (additional call pay)
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Eligible for medical licensure in New Mexico
- Strong interest in orthopedic surgery
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
