- PGY4 Categorical General Surgery Resident
Description
The University of Utah General Surgery Residency Program is accepting applications for a PGY4 Categorical General Surgery Resident to begin on July 1, 2026. (due to approved research year for a current resident).

Our residents gain exposure to a broad spectrum of operative and non-operative patient care and are well prepared for both competitive fellowships and community practice.
Job Type: Full Time
Job Duration: 2 years (with annual contract, renewed based on eligibility for advancement and employment)

Eligibility Requirements
Completion of accredited PGY1, PGY2, and PGY3 surgery training.
Good standing in current residency program.
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah

Selected applicants will be invited for interviews with faculty leadership, the Program Director, Associate Program Directors, and residents. Interviews may be conducted virtually and/or in person.
Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed PGY1 through PGY3 training in an ACGMEaccredited general surgery residency program.
