Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers in delivering safe and efficient patient care. The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, assisting with patient monitoring, and ensuring all supplies and medications required for anesthesia procedures are available and functioning properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, and maintain anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist with anesthesia during surgical (soft tissue and dentistry) cases.
- Set up anesthesia machines, airway equipment, IV pumps, and patient monitoring systems.
- Stock and organize anesthesia supplies, medications, and emergency equipment.
- Perform routine equipment checks, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation prior to anesthesia administration.
- Maintain accurate documentation of equipment checks and inventory.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Respond quickly to anesthesia-related emergencies by providing necessary equipment and supplies.

Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified VMT/CVT
- Previous hospital or surgical environment experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in emergency situations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to surgical equipment and patient care areas.
