Job DescriptionGarden State Eye Physicians of ReFocus Eye Health seeks a fellowship-trained Retina Surgeon to join our expanding network of ophthalmology practices in the greater Jersey region.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical foundation, advanced surgical skills, and a patient-centered approach aligned with our organizations mission to provide exceptional eye care throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
The practice does not currently have an in-house retina specialist and has a significant existing patient need, creating the opportunity to build volume quickly from day one through a strong internal and community referral base.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.
- Perform in-office procedures and surgical interventions utilizing advanced imaging and laser technology.
- Collaborate with optometrists, general ophthalmologists, and referring providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in call coverage as designated by the practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory standards and quality metrics.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an AUPO-FCCapproved Retina/Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
- Current state medical license (or eligibility) in New Jersey
