The local hospital system, Cone Health, is a not-for-profit, community-based, six-hospital system with 1000+ beds. The healthcare system is a recognized leader in cardiology, neuroscience, oncology, trauma and rehabilitation. Inpatient services are provided at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital and Wesley Long Community Hospital. The main hospital, The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, is an ACS verified level II trauma center. CCS manages the trauma services, providing the physician leadership and physician manpower for the trauma program and its critical care services through a strong, ongoing relationship with the hospital system.
