- Advanced Fellowship in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery - Thoracic Transplantation, Mechanical Circulatory Support & ECMO
Description
The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Northwell Health is recruiting a candidate for an advanced fellowship training position starting August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027. Their focus will include thoracic organ transplantation, mechanical circulatory support and ECMO. Interested applicants should be board-eligible/certified in thoracic surgery or foreign equivalent.
As a part of our growing heart and lung transplant teams, the fellow will participate in the comprehensive management of heart and lung transplant patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This will include pre-operative assessment and management, selection, recipient evaluation and acceptance, intra-operative techniques and post-operative management. In addition, the candidate will be involved in the surgical management of cardiogenic shock and develop their expertise in all forms of temporary mechanical support.
In addition to completing a Thoracic Fellowship program or integrated residency, applicants must meet medical licensure requirements for the State of New York and should submit the following information for consideration:

- ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
