H&H Leadership Solutions invites you to explore an outstanding Chief Medical Officer opportunity with Haxtun Health.
This is a unique hybrid role offering 4 days of outpatient clinical care and 1 day of administrative leadership ideal for a physician who wants both patient impact and organizational influence.
Position Highlights
- 4 days clinical | 1 day administrative (CMO)
- Outpatient-focused Family Medicine with integrated hospital support
- Leadership role with direct impact on clinical strategy and provider team

Compensation
- $300,000 Base Salary (Family Medicine)
- $25,000 Annual Stipend for CMO Responsibilities
- 30 days PTO
- Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement)
- CME allowance + malpractice coverage
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope primary care (preventive, chronic, acute)
- Build long-term patient relationships in a community-focused setting
- Coordinate care across clinic, ER, and inpatient settings
- Participate in quality initiatives and team-based care delivery
- CMO / Leadership Responsibilities (~1 day/week)
- Provide oversight and support to physicians and APPs
- Partner with executive leadership on clinical strategy and operations
- Lead quality improvement and patient outcome initiatives
- Help shape the future of care delivery at a Critical Access Hospital
About Haxtun Health
- 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving a rural Colorado community
- Integrated system including clinic, ER, inpatient, and swing bed services
- Strong focus on continuity of care and keeping care local
Qualifications
- MD/DO, Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine
- Eligible for Colorado licensure
- Interest in rural medicine and leadership
- Prior leadership experience preferred
