Description
ABOUT SK RETINA
SK Retina is a rapidly growing, private practice dedicated exclusively to diseases of the retina and vitreous. With offices across Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice, we serve patients throughout the greater Sarasota region of Florida's Gulf Coast — one of the most rapidly growing and affluent communities in the United States.
Our team of fellowship-trained subspecialists provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and uveitis care, supported by state-of-the-art imaging and treatment technology. We have built our reputation on clinical excellence, long-standing referral relationships, and a culture that values both exceptional patient care and the professional well-being of our physicians.
We are now expanding our team and seeking two outstanding fellowship-trained ophthalmologists to join the practice: a Medical Retina Specialist and a Vitreoretinal Surgeon.
We are committed to the independent practice model — physician-led, patient-focused, and free from private equity influence. If you value clinical autonomy, meaningful work-life balance, and a collegial partnership environment, we want to hear from you.
LIVING AND PRACTICING IN SARASOTA
Sarasota consistently ranks among the most desirable cities in the United States, and for good reason.
Whether relocating with a family or beginning a new chapter, the region offers an exceptional quality of life:
Top-rated public and private schools, regularly recognized among Florida's best
World-famous Gulf beaches, including Siesta Key, consistently rank as the #1 beach in the United States
Thriving arts, culture, and dining scene, anchored by the Ringling Museum and a vibrant downtown
No state income tax
Year-round warm weather and outdoor recreation — fishing, boating, golf, and more
Convenient access to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport and Tampa International Airport
Located less than two hours from Walt Disney World and the Orlando theme parks — ideal for families
A growing, affluent patient population with strong demand for subspecialty retinal care
INDEPENDENT PRACTICE: A DELIBERATE CHOICE
At SK Retina, we have made a deliberate and principled choice to remain independent.
What that means for you:
Clinical decisions are made by physicians, for patients.
Your voice matters in how the practice grows and operates
A genuine partnership track means you build real, lasting equity in something you help create
No production pressure driven by investor return targets
A practice culture built on trust, mutual respect, and long-term thinking
If you are concerned about where the field is headed and want to practice medicine on your own terms, SK Retina is the practice you have been looking for.
