- Surgical Retina Position in Indiana
Description
Talley Eye Institute is a busy, entirely physician owned, and well-respected practice in need of a surgical retina specialist to start in the summer of 2028 or sooner. Our group of young, vibrant physician providers include 3 retina surgeons, 1 cornea specialist, 1 uveitis specialist, 2 general ophthalmologists, and 2 residency trained optometrists. Our current retina specialists each see 60-90 patients per day and they each perform 5-10 vitrectomies or more per week. The new retina specialist can expect a quick and steady patient volume ramp up, with the anticipation of an extremely busy clinic and OR schedule within 2 years. Our beautiful 22,000 square foot clinic provides great patient flow with an efficient EHR with Retina OS drug inventory management system, an Optos camera with fluorescein angiography, PASCAL laser, a cryopexy unit, PDT laser, and multiple Zeiss Cirrus OCTs.
Vitreoretinal surgery will be performed in our highly efficient, state-of-the-art ASC directly adjacent to our clinic, utilizing a Constellation and Zeiss Resight. Furthermore, we anticipate expanding our retina clinical trials department with the addition of another retina surgeon. There is huge potential for practice growth during the first few years. This practice growth, coupled with a low overhead, will allow for the possibility of a very large income within a few years of starting your practice.
This is a partnership track position, with a reasonable and transparent buy-in offered after 18 months of employment to both the practice and the ASC. Employment status includes a generous base salary, a signing bonus and/or stipend, and a production bonus that would equate to an anticipated net income of over $500,000 during the first year alone. All standard benefits are included, such as health and dental insurance, 401k participation, 4 weeks of vacation, and an additional 1 week of time off with a stipend for CME. We are a very busy referral based practice that demands quality and ethical care combined with the ability to be very personable and work closely with our referral network and our own medical staff. Furthermore, all the physicians in the practice are fairly young and have no interest in selling out to private equity.
